FLOWER BOUQUETS

Flower Bouquets: Tips on How to Make it Endure a Long Time

A flower arrangement is an excellent way to express one’s feelings and appreciation as a present for any occasion. While receiving a bouquet elicits a flood of emotions, we always want them to endure as long as possible; thus, we put them in vases. The following are some simple and basic flower care methods to help your flowers survive longer.

Step 1. The Stems

The foremost step is once you unwrap your bouquet, make sure to cut or rather trim the stems of your flower at a 45-degree angle. A clean-cut would be nice, and you can keep trimming the stems after a couple of days for a week.

Step 2. Keep it Clean

The most important part is cold and clean water, as clean as drinking water. Change the water daily to keep your flowers fresh. If there is any foliage or dirt from the stem, remove it.

Step 3. Flower Nourishment

Add a few drops of bleach in your fresh and clean cold water along with sugar (just a pinch of it) which acts as flower food or nourishment and helps keep your bunch fresh.

Step 4. Avoid direct sunlight

Place your bunch or vase of flowers where there is no direct sunlight.

Step 5. Keep cleaning out the stems

Once you place your bunch and change the water every day, you may find a few of the stems that may have expired; ensure to take them out to keep the blooms longer.
